Living in Tuhaye

Tuhaye is home to the Talisker Club, a private community spread across the hills above Jordanelle Reservoir at around 7,000 feet, with a Mark O’Meara golf course and a clubhouse village at its heart.

At a glance

  • Where. In the Jordanelle Basin off SR-248, between Hideout and Kamas, in Wasatch County.
  • Homes. Custom homes, cabins and homesites across a large, open property.
  • Skiing. Club members use the Tower Club at Empire Pass, with ski-in, ski-out access at Deer Valley, and East Village is close by.
  • Outside. The Mark O’Meara course, nearly 30 miles of trails and access to the reservoir.
  • Errands. Club dining on site, with Kamas, Heber and Park City for the rest.
  • Schools. Wasatch County School District. Check any address with the district.

Daily life

The Talisker Club sets the rhythm: golf, the pool, dining and organized outdoor programs in summer, and the Tower Club at Empire Pass in winter. It’s built for staying in rather than running around.

My take

My go-to spot. The Talisker Club amenities. The pool, golf, dining and outdoor programming make it easy to settle in and stay awhile.

What people don’t realize. The membership is a major part of the lifestyle. The home, the homesite, the membership level and the distance to the amenities should all be evaluated together.

What I love most. It feels spacious and beautifully removed, yet the level of service makes ownership feel easy.

If you’d like to see Tuhaye the way I’d show it, say hello.
