Living in Red Ledges

Red Ledges is a private club community on the eastern edge of Heber City: about 2,000 acres of red rock, juniper and fairways, with Mount Timpanogos across the valley.

At a glance

  • Where. On the east side of Heber City in Wasatch County, about 25 minutes from Park City.
  • Homes. Custom homes, cabins and homesites, alongside a 395-acre nature preserve.
  • Skiing. Red Ledges has a member ski club, and Deer Valley’s East Village is about 20 minutes away.
  • Outside. A Jack Nicklaus Signature course that opened in 2009, a 12-hole par-3 course, tennis, pickleball, an equestrian center and a pool with a 144-foot slide.
  • Errands. Heber’s grocery stores and restaurants are a few minutes away.
  • Schools. Wasatch County School District. Check any address with the district.

Daily life

Life here revolves around the clubhouse and the outdoors: golf in the morning, the pool in the afternoon and dinner on the terrace as the light changes on Timpanogos.

My take

My go-to spot. The clubhouse terrace when the evening light hits Mount Timpanogos.

What people don’t realize. The membership structure is central to the experience. Club access, transfer requirements and location within the community should be considered alongside the home.

What I love most. The contrast of red rock, juniper, green fairways and big mountain views. It has a distinct sense of place that feels different from anywhere else in the valley.

If you’d like to see Red Ledges the way I’d show it, say hello.
