• Homes. Townhomes, single-family homes and estate lots, including newer mountain-contemporary homes.
• Skiing. Deer Valley’s East Village base is a few minutes away.
• Outside. The reservoir and Jordanelle State Park’s Ross Creek area, plus association-owned open space below the homes.
• Errands. Kamas and Heber cover everyday needs.
• Schools. Wasatch County. School information varies between sources for this area, so check any address with the district.

Daily life

Life at Deer Mountain is about the reservoir: a paddle on a calm morning, a walk along the shore and a view that keeps changing through the day.

My take

My go-to spot. The Jordanelle shoreline for a walk or paddle when the water is calm.

What people don’t realize. The hillside changes everything. Sun, wind, driveway grade and the angle of the view can vary considerably between neighboring properties.

What I love most. The reservoir views. They change constantly with the seasons, the weather and the time of day.
