Silver Creek Estates is open country near the junction of I-80 and US-40: horse pastures, larger parcels and big skies. It began in the 1970s with cabins and homes on open land and has grown into one of the area’s few true acreage neighborhoods.

At a glance
- Where. Near the I-80 and US-40 junction, about ten minutes from Kimball Junction.
- Homes. Farmhouses, older A-frames and newer custom homes on parcels from a few acres to much larger, some on dirt roads.
- Skiing. Park City Mountain and Canyons Village are about 15 to 20 minutes away.
- Outside. Room for horses and open land in every direction, with the Glenwild and Round Valley trail systems a short drive away.
- Errands. Anaya’s Market in Silver Creek, and the rest at Kimball Junction.
- Schools. School district boundaries vary in the Silver Creek area, so check any address with the district.
Daily life
Life here is less about amenities and more about space. Mornings might mean feeding horses or a project in the shop, and town is still close enough for dinner.
My take
My go-to spot. Anaya’s Market. It has a great butcher department and Mexican market, and it’s one of those local places worth knowing about.
What people don’t realize. The freedom of a larger parcel comes with more systems to understand. Water rights, wells, septic, easements, outbuildings and road maintenance all matter.
What I love most. The possibilities. There’s room for horses, equipment, a workshop, or simply more distance between you and your neighbors.
If you’d like to see Silver Creek Estates the way I’d show it, say hello.
